In ancient mythology and wisdom, Ariadna did use a string to find her way. And she gave her name to a useful algorithm (known as "Ariadna's thread") powerful enough to offer solutions to maze questioning, the upper dynamic state of labyrinths.
Our Ariadna and other co-authors are designated as "Strings Tuners Linchpins". It is not a single mythic goddess but a set of diverse minds organized to work within a co-Operative intelligence dynamic, in order to illustrate this experience of thoughts in a virtual labs.

What does this tell us ?
Let’s stretch the analogy itself (squared action) : each individual in corporate environment surely has his own ‘polarizing’ ability, his own way to orientate his momentum, skills, knowledge,talents and beliefs for action.
“Stretching goals” in relevant and controlled limits at the collective level in a highly noded or grid-like organization is a way to ‘stress’ the system in a very constructive way as the ‘polarizing’ properties of each individual can be aligned to generate a macro polarizing effect. The extended ambition of ‘stretched goals’, in a sense, provides the ‘polarizing’ effect that help modify the pre-existing reality and make a noticeable difference on the company’s output. Augmented reality is giving acuity to sight or mind.
In this particular collective ‘stretching mode’ , ‘break out thinking’ is an absolute to encourage, it derives naturally from the fact that the organization is no longer in the ‘business as usual ‘state.
In other words, a coherent collective state implies logically a different collective output than usual.
Is it beneficial to stay in that state for long ? Not so sure. High ‘polarization’ collective capacity is beneficial for impact, but the associated ‘filtering effect’ on reality also means denying the versatility of real-life and need for cycles.
A clear implication of this is the following : as soon as ‘stretching goals’ becomes a matter of collective interest for powerful macro effect, it is also interesting to ‘unstretch” in a managed way the collective system for return to equilibrium, for sake of preserving the variety of possibly beneficial goals for the company, and allow again diverging individual behaviours.
You can thus better align a vision, a strategy.
It is a 2 to 3 dimensions geometry, itself folded into one dimension.

When getting closer to actual boundaries or singularity point (what we can see, what the company scope is, what core business means, which core competencies are available) behaviors and momentum change.
